Digital Service Record
To maintain your car’s value, its of paramount importance to keep servicing and maintenance schedule unto date, a well-maintained car fetches a premium price. A lot of the well known manufacturers now offer a “digital service record” or “DSR”, which is much more precise and consistent than a paper logbook.
One of the most common problems with paper logbooks is that the information added can be falsified. Which means buyers have to argue the points that seem suspicious to them with the garage that serviced the car. This can cause a multitude of problems and waste a lot of time. A digital service record will solve many of these problems.
All digital service records are stored online via a secure vehicle manufacturer’s central database. It holds the information of the service and maintenance history, as well as critical data like the mileage and the garages who serviced the vehicle. An updated digital service record is held each time an approved garage performs a car service or a car repair. You can request a paper version from any authorised car dealer or from an online portal if available.
